ABOUT

I love to allow spirit to flow through me onto the canvas, creating a visual connection to the beauty of the unseen aspects of spirit and emotions through my art, creating a deeper connection to the untouchable, unseen and magical in reality.  Art created in flow with a higher power, inner power or guidance system giving form is a powerful focal point in a home, as it creates feelings of oneness, strength and courage by reminding us we are part of and supported by a force so much greater than we see ourselves. 

I spent my life searching for the truth, always fascinated by the unseen layers of our realities, studying many different traditions and paths looking for the true one and all the searching brought me full circle back to myself, the dreamer and my own true path which I was walking all along.  It also brought me to the realization that there is no 'one truth' as we are all walking our own unique paths, have different lessons to learn and relate to different guidance systems or archetypes.  All paths up a mountain lead to the top but when we feel guided and supported, we feel more empowered along the journey. 

 As long as I can remember, from early childhood I always had a very vivid dreamworld and imagination, often preferring that world to the physical one.  As a child I was happiest when I was able to draw, paint and make things from paper and modelling clay, playing in sand, mud and daydreaming.  As an adult and a mother, this love of creative expression has remained.  After a long dark night of the soul and ill health, I sought many alternative therapies becoming certified as a reiki practitioner and sound healer and began painting again.

Inspiration comes from anywhere and everywhere, a fascination with contrasts and connections between people and spirit, energy, an emotion, vivid dreams, nature, ancient cultures, stories and myths. 

Each image manifests in its own individual style.  I love to paint from a meditative state, where i am tuned in to the sacred, allowing divine energy to flow through me and take form on the canvas before my eyes.  I love to allow the images of what wants to be expressed, reveal itself to me on the canvas from the vast, unseen ocean of potential imagery waiting to be born.  I witness them come to life before my eyes, bringing the magic of the divine and the intention for which the piece was created is carried within the painting.
